The New Minicam Control Unit
The case of the new Proteus MCU is rugged, with an industrial design meeting the requirements of IP65 water and dust ingress protection. The ergonomic design allows the operator to remain comfortable while operating the unit on even the longest of surveys. The base of the unit has a webbed design to reinforce it’s integrity during any impact the unit might face in the field, reducing the likelihood of damage during impacts and falls.

Our ergonomic, soft-touch, waterproof, anti-microbial keyboard has user-friendly hotkeys to improve user experience. We have made our system more powerful and simpler to use than ever, bringing you more features and more functionality, making our Proteus system the best yet!
Backwards compatibility
Backwards compatibility allows the unit to be compatible with all existing SOLO PRO+ reels, hardware and Proteus crawlers* with an update to the Proteus Lite system so that the MCU will fit comfortably on the frame.
Improved User Interface
The improved user interface has improved file and project management, battery status indicator, multi-language support, dark/light mode and so much more so that you, the user, have a better and easier experience when out in the field.
Powerful reporting software is built in as standard, simplifying project workflows and enabling the user to have a faster and easier experience when carrying out surveys.
Crawler Pod
The crawler pod is dedicated to controlling the crawler. The dedicated buttons allow the user to manage all crawler aspects with no issues. Including buttons for Crawler Height Adjustments, User Programmable Key, All Stop, Crawler Cruise Control, Cable Tension Adjustment, Cable Pay-out Adjustment and the Control Stick.
Camera Pod
The camera pod is dedicated to controlling the camera. The dedicated buttons allow the user to manage all camera aspects with no issues. Including buttons for Camera Home, Back-eye Selection, Meterage Reset, User Programmable Key, Camera LED Adjustments, Camera Zoon Adjustments, Camera Focus Adjustments, and Control Stick allow you to control all aspects of the camera at the touch of a button with no messing around.
*Proteus Lite frames have been redesigned to fit the new 312 control unit.
