  • Service Technician - Raven Locks

    The Role

    Minicam are recruiting a Service Technician to work in our Dartford Service Centre. As a Service Technician you’ll deal with customers who are bringing in equipment for repair and you’ll assess returned equipment across our product range and fault find to understand the reason for a system or products fault. You’ll then and subsequently carrying out a repairs of mechanical and electrical nature to return the equipment to full use and be responsible for writing up the service job to provide feedback and details of parts used in the repair. Our Service Technician’s work across all of our products including cameras, robotic crawlers, control units, cable reels and coiler rods. This is a varied role with offers the opportunity to work on fault finding and repairs across a variety of products with daily interaction with our customers.

    Responsibilities/Tasks

    • Fault finding across all products to component level identifying issues of an electrical and mechanical nature.
    • Ability to read schematics/technical drawings and dissemble and re-assemble products
    • Carry out repairs, maintenance and services to Minicam equipment including repairs to cameras, robotic crawlers, control units, cable reels and rod re-terminations.
    • Liaise with customers both face to face and over the phone with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
    • Provide technical support to customers experiencing issues.
    • Book in systems and complete job sheets in our ERP system to record details of the work carried out, labour hours and parts used.
    • Monitor stock levels and raise stock order requests
    • Provide goods in/out support when required

     

    Requirements

    • Mechanical/electrical background
    • Experience in soldering, including small components
    • Customer service experience
    • A can-do attitude
    • Computer literate
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude to driving improvements.
    • Ability to work on your own or as part of a team
    • HNC or equivalent qualification

    • Experience working within a service department
  • Production Operative - Raven Locks

    Responsibilities/Tasks

    The purpose of the role is to efficiently produce sub and final assembly product that satisfy customer requirements of quality, cost and time using the most economical of means.

     

    Health & Safety

    • To adhere to all safe working practices throughout the site.
    • Wearing the correct PPE for the task and area
    • To ensure that all relevant safety checks are being conducted prior to commencing a task
    • To ensure any accidents and near misses are reported

     

     

    Quality

     

    • To ensure manufactured components meet or exceed expected Quality standards
    • To ensure all quality procedures are being accurately completed
    • To proactively identify and suggest ways to improve quality
    • To ensure that any non-conformance is dealt with promptly through the application of the ECR, Deviation, Defect processes

     

     

    Operational Performance

     

    • To effectively support the delivery of the daily/weekly production plan
    • Assemble Minicam Sub-Assembly and Final Assembly products in line with the advised procedures
    • Liaise with the Team Leader to ensure a smooth and efficient production flow/output
    • Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve your efficiency/workflow

     

    General

     

    • To complete cross training within teams to support flexibility across departments and enhance your role
    • The list covers main duties but is not exhaustive, you may be asked to carry out other duties in any of the manufacturing areas depending on requirements of the business
    • Take part in Bi-annual Company Stock takes

     

    Housekeeping

     

    • To ensure area is kept clean, tidy, organised and in a presentable manner
    • To ensure that all aisle ways and traffic areas are always kept clear
