Dealer Profile #3 – Opticon Benelux

Welcome to the latest in our series of articles in which we profile members of our growing global dealer network. This month it is the turn of Opticon Benelux, which is based in the Netherlands.

Opticon joined the expanding Mini-Cam dealer network in March 2017 and is our sole distributor for the Benelux nations – Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

The company is based in Naarden, near Amsterdam, and is owned by Gerard Jungerling.

Opticon has operated in the sector for more than 25 years and specialises in the supply of camera inspection systems, sewer cameras and industrial endoscope and bore scope cameras for industrial and aviation applications.

Sven Breitenfeld, Mini-Cam’s head of international sales and marketing, has known Opticon for many years and met Gerard and his sales director Ronald Meuldijk at the IFAT-ENTSORGA trade fair in Munich last year.

Following this, Sven visited Naarden for talks, and Gerard and Ronald subsequently travelled to Mini-Cam’s headquarters in Warrington. Sven says: “We demonstrated our products, talked about market opportunities and our development plans for the business, and things took off from there. Gerard and Ronald saw Mini-Cam’s commitment to innovation and successful partnerships, how easy our products are to use, our attractive pricing and clear service offering. They and their team have hit the ground running, exhibiting our products at shows in Belgium and the Netherlands and achieving some impressive sales figures in a short space of time. We’re delighted that Opticon decided to join our network and we look forward to a long-lasting and mutually beneficial partnership.”
