Christmas Jumper Day

Friday 13th December 2019 saw Mini-Cam colleagues wearing their silliest sweaters in aid of a worthy cause. Work is much more fun when you’re wearing a jumper with a penguin on it. Or a reindeer. Or a load of tinsel… So Mini-Cam signed up to the Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day Charity Appeal. Dom and Lindsay (AKA Mini-Cam’s Graphic Duo) donned their jolly jumpers and toured the factory with a game, a sweepstake, and of course a collection box for donations. Numerous colleagues joined in the event wearing jumpers featuring everything from Rudolph’s, Robins, Christmas Trees and Snowmen, to Penguins, Puddings and Santa’s. The team spirit from colleagues helped to make it the most wolly wonderful day of the year, and the best bit was our workplace was raising money to change a child’s life. It could help them grow up healthy and safe, and get an education, so they can grow up to be who they want to be.

The suggested £2 donation to participate in the games was given by all colleagues, with many chipping in much more to support the charity. The “Stick the Nose on James Blunt” game was won by Chief Operating Officer Richard Joynson, and Administration Assistant Yvette Wӱkstra was the winner of the “Choose the Christmas Present” Sweepstake, both received bottles of Christmas cheer as prizes.

A total of £92 from donations was raised, and to mark the success of the day’s event, a group photo of the Christmas Jumper Wearer’s was posted on social media.
